We offer our customers high-quality, hand crafted, custom made cabinets made from renewable resources that are constructed without the addition of unnecessary harmful chemical additives. Using these ecologically responsible materials can be of obvious benefit to the environment and also to people with chemical sensitivities. At Environmental Products and Design we are very conscious of the potential health hazards that can be caused by traditional building materials.

Many traditional cabinets are made with a particleboard core and plywood that is put together with harmful chemical adhesives and other treatments. This leads to off-gassing of harmful agents like formaldehyde and VOCs into your air. We overcome these problems by alternatives such as using a natural wheatboard core, high quality wood sources and by using non-toxic, low VOC, natural finishes.

Some of the alternative wood materials that our craftsmen use are sustainable materials such as bamboo or palm wood. These woods are extremely durable and have a unique aesthetic appearance. Other woods come from FSC certified forests and suppliers of recycled or reclaimed materials. Using these types of sources for wood greatly reduces or in some cases will totally eliminate any strain on the environment ensuring a sustainable future for our earth.
